Keeping up with the Markles

Surely they wouldn't if they were racist and much less put on the full royal wedding treatment.
This is exactly what I said to the missus this morning, if they were worried about mixed race children marriage wouldn’t have been allowed in the first place

Why on earth would there be any concerns about the baby's skin colour? Megan looks like a white person who has been on holiday for a couple of weeks and Harry is a ginger. What exactly were they expecting? Purple Aki?

You have misread the tweet.

Right you are I did read it as so far I'm March 202.

Andrew has still maintained a lower profile with him doing doing one interview on TV.

Megham and Harry actively and consistently seek out press coverage (but only wan't favorable coverage) however so you would expect a difference.

There is that, Andrew mostly went into hiding so there would be less to fuel the rags.

Dont think you can dismiss the incredible amount of negative coverage of these two though.

Well, ok, as you forced the issue.

When I was younger, I was in an abusive relationship for 7 years, involving behaviours from my partner that would these days be prosecutable under coercive control. I was alienated from my family and friends (it's the reason I have pretty much no contact with anyone from my youth), financially controlled and so on.

The behaviour of the duchess of Sussex strongly reminds me of my ex, as does many of the justifications people throw around because there is a whole stigma around the situations that normalise such things.

So, with that said, kindly jog on you insensitive ****.
What behaviours? You are confusing your abusive relationship with someone that says they got a bit of hatred because racists. Its hardly the same thing.

Thats not quite how skin colour works. They could easily have a quite dark skinned child. If you look at Meghans mum she is quite dark skinned. Meghan isn't but thats basically luck. If her mum and dad had another 5 children there is a good chance they would all have different skin tones.

As others have said. There is a difference between someone saying "I wonder whether the child will have its mums colour or its dads" and "dear god I hope its not a little black baby". One is very racist and the other is very standard "I wonder what the child will look like".

Some people can't see anything more than racism when colour is involved however. Its like the people who automatically take offence when someone asks "where is your family from" when they are clearly not white British. I have asked plenty of people that because I find it interesting where someones heritage lies. I have asked plenty of white people that as well if they have an interesting surname.

Total bunch of scum the royals, so any embarrassment dished out to them is fantastic in my eyes.

Anyone supporting the royal family these days are carrying on the long tradition of bowing down to another human no better than any of us, what obedient serfs they are.

If its to do with being proud of being British, why be subjects of a bunch of German inbreeds lol?

She is dark skinned and common, if she had been Catholic it would have been amazing.

Bunch of elitist bigots, plain and simple.

Pier Morgan is such a tool.

Who wouldn't want favourable coverage?

What they don't want is lies and bullying which is exactly what's going on. Piers Morgan as an example has tweeted her name 57 times in 7 days.

It's bullying...it's as simple as that. She's having a lot of dirt thrown at her with zero evidence.

What proof do you have that they hated the idea that she was dark skinned and common. I'm not saying they didn't but I haven't seen any proof of this.

So many people just gloss over the endless headlines the Daily Mail wrote about her like it's ok that happened. Try living your life where everything you do is examined in a negative bias. Trial by media and the media only print what the people want so basically many people wanted to see her crash and burn in an extraordinary fashion which is not right and highlights how messed up many many people in this country are. Glad they escaped.

Separating partner from support structure, convincing them it's the fault of that support structure, creating a false narrative of victimhood through misrepresentation etc are all classic signs.

The 'not a prince because mixed race' narrative is demonstrably false, Harry's kids were never going to be princes or princesses unless they were born after his grandmother passed or abdicates. However, it does feed well into a victim and separation narrative.

I will add, for the avoidance of doubt, that I am not saying the duchess is evil or is doing it deliberately as part of a calculated plan. She most likely genuinely believes her position is both rational and entirely justifiable, but most people in these circumstances do. It doesn't matter from an impact perspective. Whether through malice, illness or in response to being a previous victim herself is largely irrelevant to the impact, only the approach to healing.

It would never have gone ahead if she didn't support it. Try again with some logic.

The queen is not going to argue with them all.
The queen did the right thing and moved on.

So try again With facts.

I know you won't ;)

How is it bullying. They have decided to go on what is arguably the largest platform in the western world to air their laundry and lay into the royal family. This is the biggest story currently so its going to be the main focus of most large new outlets.

What they want (which seems to be what a lot of people want) is to be able to tell everyone their opinion and hear only praise and positivity in return, regardless of what they are saying or who they are attacking.

You don't get to play the victim when you are using the media for your own ends and it doesn't all go your own way. If they wanted to take a step out of the limelight they could have done.

Indeed, if they were really racist, Megan would have removed from Harry's presence from the very moment they met. It would be so brief it wouldn't even be newsworthy. From what I could see the Queen had been nothing but welcoming to Megan from the very beginning.
