Keeping up with the Markles

I watched the whole interview last night finally and can see their position and concern. They wanted to put out their story before the tabloid media painted their own version which had already long started to form and the media has been favouring positive news about the royals for exclusive access etc going by what was said and what has been written in the past like comparing Meghan's activities during pregnancy being compared directly as copying Kate Middleton and suchlike?

Anyway there is no doubt an element of "you guys tried to ruin us, you removed Harry's security detail and then made the world aware of our location causing safety concerns so now we will spill most of the beans on the lot of you, except the Queen, she's genuinely mint" - An eye for an eye sort of gig.

I wonder if the BBC will put their fact checking team on it because a lot of what she claimed should be relatively easy to verify as true or false.

Being a prince or princess does not automatically mean royals have police protection.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's security is no longer paid for by the taxpayer.

Harry and Meghan no longer receive British police protection, and are understood to be paying for private security.


Meghan has not seen Samantha Markle in almost 20 years

Meghan said: 'The last time I saw her must have been at least 18, 19 years.'

During the interview Meghan distanced herself from her half-sister Samantha, who she said she hardly knows and she grew up 'an only child'.

Meghan said the Press 'created' news about Meghan's father 'to create drama'

Meghan Markle's estranged father Thomas today denied his daughter's claims he had 'betrayed' her before branding his son-in-law 'snotty' and declaring: 'We all make mistakes - but I've never played naked pool or dressed like Hitler like Harry did'.

Mr Markle says that he's apologised '100 times' for doing a deal with a paparazzi photographer before the royal wedding in 2018 and urged the couple to see him now they only live '70 miles away' from his Mexico home in Los Angeles.

He also denied the Royal Family - or Britain - is racist, calling Meghan and Harry's claims 'bulls**t' and saying if it is true a royal asked about how 'dark' Archie's skin would be, it was probably just a 'dumb question'.

Where is it stated that it is a "concern"? I thought it was just an idle postulation. If it's a concern, and shown to indeed be, that is racist, yes, but it has to be proven that it was a "concern".

I don't side with the rubbish that the press comes out with most the time.

But I don't believe what Meghan and Harry are saying really for the most part. I mean the words spoilt and self-obsessed couldn't be more true.

Either you are completely clueless when it comes to people skills so you buy into it all, or it fits with how you view the world. Most people with a couple of brain cells can see through people when they talk total ********.

And the US to start judging the UK and the Royal Family on racism is probably the most hilarious part.

To do this would be to play totally into Meghan's hands. Seems to me she is creating a racist rhetoric out of nothing to gain the upper hand. A common trick.

Was it asked in an enquiring manner or was it in the manner of concern of not being white enough? Oh that's right no-one knows, it's just hearsay, he said this.... she said that.... not sure why you keep vehemently trying to defend this claim given all the other dubious claims they have made. You're happy to take at face value something with zero proof.

Guilty until proven innocent seems to suit you.
 
I am amazed at how now all of a sudden people have never speculated what someones baby will look like... and yes I am including black/mixed race/even med/tanned/dark....

Is it now racist for every speculative comment regarding unborns, regardless of context?
 
You have to admire the irony of the Daily Mail fact-checking a story about Harry and Megan after they recently lost a court case against Harry and Megan.
