Keeping vista running smooth

Hi what programs would you recommend for keeping vista running smooth?
such as a good registry cleaner and defragmenter and anything else that will help.

I would suggest CCleaner, it works very well removes a lot of the crap you don't need like temp files downloaded from your browser. And for a defrag program I found O&O to be the best but I am not sure on free ones. CCleaner is free.

I use Tune up utilities 2007 goes very well with vista and does its job very well and you can download a 30 day trail of it if you wan t too .

Don't forget the inbuilt windows cleaner as well. It seems to do a very reasonable job!

I've come across an ace piece of software that will sort out pretty much every issue you have with Vista. It isn't free but well worth the money. Take a look

CC cleaner seems to work well reading on these forums and its a free download. :cool:

Yes but it keeps doing it without asking and dropping requests for payment through the letterbox.

ccleaner = win. once you've setup the options you like, copy the shortcut and then edit the path so it has /auto on the end. now it will run and clean with no prompts.
