I'm doing Survival of the Fittest on Saturday, and it's meant to be bloody cold (about 3c).

I've done Tough Mudder and Rat Race in the past, and both times worn a Nike compression shirt. Each time, once it's got wet, it's made me cold, as it's been so tight to my skin.

Am I better off going without a base layer? Or would one specifically designed for the cold help? It would still be close to my skin, so I'm not sure whether it would.

Any thoughts? What do you normally wear for them?
