Keeping yourself entertained at work....

I don't know about you but some days not much comes in at work and I can often see myself with an hour or two of 'me' time.

Literally nothing to do, I have a PC with internet, can't really install anything as it's a server and can't be seen to be sitting there playing games so what do you do?

At the moment I browse Autotrader, Pistonheads and OcUK Motors forums, BBC Sport, Sky Sports, my emails and a bit of shopping.

How about you?

Me? I Honestly... I browse OC forums, BBC news website, Tomshardware... that's about it. But then I rarely get me time in work.

I'm the same, there can be some weeks where I'm putting in 11 or 12 hour days to try and get through the workload, and others where I seem to twiddle my thumbs for half the day.

I mostly just look at OcUK, BBC and various F1 sites (which have been less than active over the last couple of months :rolleyes:

).
My company's firewall is pretty strict even down to blocking most forums, but fortunately they appear not to have cottoned on to OcUK yet

Considering I don't get paid overtime when I do the 11 or 12 hour day weeks (my contract is 8 hour days), I consider the quiet days to be time off in lieu.

I don't work for a company as such, we are here for when problems arise. Some days I never sit down and miss lunch, others I have very little to do.

I’ve always found something to do like catching up with technical developments and the like. A small amount of surfing is also involved.

i use teamviewer and connect to my home pc as well as ocuk and reddit and irc, but i am bored of reddit now, place annoys me a bit.

Work blocked OCUK around June last year, while i was out of the office it wasnt a problem, just turn off the VPN and avoid the filter.
But when im back in the UK I actually have to work now (shock horror).
Office productivity has improved allot I have to admit, but not reading some of the crazyness on here makes the day go that little bit slower.
