hi guys have had this problem for about 5 months now
still cannot pinpoint the problem its restarts by itself every 3-7 hours

my specs

amd 955 be

windows 7

asrock 970 extreme 3 r2.0

corsair 4 gb dominator model number tw3x4g1600c9d

xfx 650w gtx480

now today i have looked on the asrock website and found that the ram i have is not on the list for the memory support list could this be the problem that the ram is not compatible but if it is not compatible would it not even boot up

regards connor

You need to look for any events that happened prior to the shutdown. Event 41, as posted above, is the event generated upon restart from an unexpected power loss/shutdown.

The events that happened prior to the shutdown are the ones that will give you some clues. It could be driver related, however it's more likely to be power related, though this is not to say that it's the power supply itself at fault. It could be the power stage of your motherboard or GPU that's faulty.
