Kerrang - A new low!

i think the mag has gone down hill, it just seems to cater for the kids these days tbh i dont like emo! where as the channels concerned id rather watch the bands i like on youtube.

When the magazine first came out, I remember buying every issue, as did most metal fans at the time, although asking for it was a bit embarrassing at the time.

I haven't bought it for many years now, as it lost it's way ages ago and now seems to feature all sorts of pop bands and it does seem to have changed to a publication for the younger market, so I'd expect the tv/radio output to be the same.

There is a huge damn musical line and a even bigger social divide between R'n'B/Rap/HipHop and Rock/Metal/Punk but Kerrang manages to combine it and look even more stupid than it did before. It's a shame, but I'm not fussed as long as I see a bit of the oldies like Korn, Linkin' Park etc

Are you serious?

Actually...Didn't I have a huge argument about A with you on MSN a few years back?

When it first came out, it was advertised in the Beano ;)

About how I'm a trend follower because I don't like what you like? Oh yes.

Let's not go into that again, I don't really like having people on the internet telling me what I should and shouldn't like - isn't it a bit ironic after being called a trend follower?

I don't like rap, never have done and never will do. My music taste is more eclectic than you'd imagine.

Please, get over yourself.

About how Korn and LP are 'The Oldies'...

Like I said, get over yourself. They are the oldies to me because they were the type of bands I was into when I first got into that genre of musi...wait, why am I justifying myself to you of all people?

If you can't get over the whole idea of people making subjective statements, I really do feel sorry for you.

I like channel Fizz, it plays some decent music and plays a fair bit of Hardcore which is good for me, they actually played Scott Brown-Boomstick

Fizz would be much better if the bitrate was a bit higher - the sound quality is awful :(

I used to buy every issue in the 80's when metal ruled, but along came grunge & alternative metal and real metal groups didn't get a look in.

Sounds like its just got a lot worse since then.

Yes but for once in music, this isn't subjective. KoRn and Linkin Park are definitely not "oldies"....doesn't matter if they are the bands you started listening to....
