Kettle lead problems maybe?

I have recently built my own budget gaming PC. Has anyone ever noticed the kettle lead which plugs directly into their PSU has a little 'play' in it when plugged into the PSU itself? Mine can move up and down slightly, but not left and right. I always thought the connection was supposed to be solid and difficult to move and remove. Is this just normal or should I be concerned? The PC powers on and runs just fine.

They're never so tight that they're difficult to plug and unplug.

Unless it's so loose it's likely to fall out, or you can hear electrical crackling as it moves, don't worry about it.

The lead that plugs into my Corsair AX860i is tight to insert/remove but does have a little play when moved up/down, left or right.

I find it depends on the lead. Some leads I have used on various PC's have been very loose while others have fitted very snuggly with little wiggle room on the same PSU. It's never caused an issue though.

Nothing to worry about.

As with most things there is a certain tolerance on both the plug and socket. They aren't locking either so rely on the friction of the sleeves on the pins.

As long as it's not falling out, and it passes the wiggle test (The PC doesn't cut out or the plug doesn't make crackling/arcing/fizzing noises when you wiggle it while the PC is on) then it's fine.
