Kevlar hoodie

I'm fairly new to biking and already have some decent textiles but want something a bit more casual. Just seen these kevlar hoodies by Bikers Gear: http://www.bikersgearuk.com/fully-kevlar-hoodie-hoody-ce-approved-armour. Anyone used them before? Says that they are fully lined in kevlar and come with CE protection. Thought one might be good for short trips to uni etc?

looks ok if it has armour built in,even Kevlar/textiles wear through if you slide long enough

even had it fetch the skin off and not touch the textile which is a mystery how it managed to do that

I've a few bikers gear pairs of jeans and their stuff is very good.

I'm not sure I get the point if you get the one with the armour in, you're not going to sit in it all day if it has armour... to uncomfortable so you may as well get leathers or textiles.

If you go for it without armour and also use it day to day then yes, very nice & convenient if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of protection.

Looks like it would simply ride up and offer zero protection if you slid on your back.

Yea think I'll stick to a leather jacket for now and Kevlar jeans. Thanks for the responses!

I'm guessing your not going to ride with the hood up, so my worry with a hoody is the hood getting caught on something if you come off.
It's one reason I don't wear one over my leathers like some people do.
