Key caps for Logitech G915

Hi
Bought Logitech G915X rather cheap, problem is its german layout. I am trying to find a full replacement set of keys for this keyboard to change them all so that its UK QWERTY layout

Ideally as authentic looking/feeling as the originals, black in colour with RGB functionality

Found this one on overclockers, not sure if this would be suitable for mine or if there is any better?

There are loads of choices, personally I would want PBT over ABS plastics because AND will smooth and shine faster. I also prefer the weight of PBT, sounds and feels nicer too. The problem is it gets expensive fast. If you want something that works, that will work.
 
Good to know they'll work, sounds like there's a huge learning curve with this as I've no idea what all the terms and abbreviations mean.

PBT, Abs, doubleshot etc? No idea

I just want my German G915 to be the same as a English G915, as I'm buying my own key caps, I just want them to be as similar if not identical to what the originals would have been for the Logitech G915.
Could just go ahead and buy one to try but risk having to return and return until I get the right one, which is why I hoped to ask for a recommendation

Well, they should work, pull one out and you can see underneath, it should be like a Philips screw shape hole.
 
Are the G915 (X) key caps low profile?

Keychron do some that look similar, but have M side keys not G.

UK ISO is out of stock on their web site so you would have to trawl the internet for alternatives.

Also, while the normal key caps should be fine, take note of keys that use stabilizers (space bar etc) as they can be different.
 
Yea the G915 are very low profile, I've exhausted myself looking at every key cap product on ocuk, not one ticks every detail that fills me with confidence so I'm not sure if there's any

This keyboard appears to use a very proprietary custom switch which looks nothing like the cross shape you get with normal Cherry switches. So the keyboard you asked about in the OP is not suitable at all. I have an 815 keyboard with the same keys and I have heard that the keycaps eventually wear the surface and let unwanted light through, so am interested in if there any third party caps, but assumed since they were so proprietary that you would be forced to get them from Logitech regardless. Mine haven't shown any signs of wearing out yet btw.

Edit: Maybe not quite as proprietary as thought since Kailh Choc switch and keycaps look very similar.

If you have the G915 X, the key caps you found will not work.

Yeah, so the G915 has proprietary keycaps.
im on my second physical keyboard. I sent mine back to Logitech after a battery defect, and even after 4 months of average usage, the left Ctrl, Space, and Q/W/E keys were all losing their top coat

As far as im aware, Logitech does not manufacture replacement keycaps, as i have asked in 3 separate emails when enquiring about some

im now looking at a replacement keyboard, as a hybrid system user MAC/PC i swap between systems frequently throughout the day, and I've now noticed the Bluetooth on my specific keyboard is very laggy 2-3 seconds of input lag

That's unlucky. I've had my G915 for 4 1/2 years. Keys are spot on still, and battery is still going strong. It is used daily as I work from home (as well as game).

Yeah, i think I've just had a bad egg. This was new as of April this year. My original one was 11 months old, and I did have to fight Logitech on its warranty, too

Other than that, it's a great board, and this one has a great battery life. An obvious solution to the BT issue was just to have it on a wired connection and wireless for my pc, which hasn't developed any problems yet

still on the fence about a new keyboard, as I've been dabbling with looking into a custom one from Keychron as an example, but that's a hole im hesitant to fall into at the moment

Having said all that I think the battery may be on the way out! :cry: Struggling to find a new keyboard that is similar, in regards to being 1. Wireless for multi-device connectivity, 2. RGB with see-through caps, 3. Low profile keys, 4. Tactile switches. I think I may end up having to go back to full height keys. I've been looking at the Corsair K65 Plus Wireless 75% RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard. OCUK only appear to sell the linear switch model here. Looks like Corsair do tactile switches but on the tactical black colour, not the midnight grey. Not sure if I'd like linear as I type a lot for work so tactile is important for me. I do like the idea of the 75% size. It is not like I use the ten keys religiously so could probably get away without them.
