Hi guys

I've been out the loop for a while and need some advice on whats a good purchase on key compoants for a PC rebuild.

My current spec is:
Intel Core i7-920 DO
Asus P6T Delux V2
Corsair H60 Water Cooler
Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D (12gb)
Silverstone fortress FT-01

Those are the components I'm looking to upgrade based around a Fractal Define R5 case.
I have GTX 980 graphics card, corsair 650 psu and creative labs soundcard so it's really those key components I'm interested in.

So if you could suggest a decent cpu/mb/ram/cooler combo it would be most appreciated. I'm looking for a fast board out the box as i'm not much of an overclocker.

Thanks

Hi

I'm looking to do an upgrade not keep the current components. Those are going to be used for another build.

I use a roccat mouse and logitech keyboard with an Asus PB278Q monitor

Cheers for that.

My only change would be i'd like to go for a water cooled sealed system cooler like the H60 i had before.
Not sure what the current make or model would be.

Thanks again
I have a define R5 case in mind and it has 140mm fans so not sure how it would tie in.
Also just wondering as i don't intend to overclock am i going over the top in considering purchasing a closed loop water cooler.....would air be enough?

The cpu and motherboard you recommended look good and get good reviews, just wondering however as the define R5 case im getting is windowless is there potential for getting a less flashy mb as it's not going to be seen, in other words is there price premium for having flashy yellow led lighting?

The ram looks good but i'm guessing there's not a lot of difference here between all various makes, kingston, crucial g skill etc

And im still not sure about the cpu cooler, just noticed theres a single radiator corsair h90 for 140mm fans. However the whole point of the define R5 is silence, now it has the sections you can remove from the top to fit 280mm radiators but that essentially opens up the case to allow noise out.
If i purchase an air cooler it might be a fraction louder but any noise will be contained within the case?

All advice is appreciated.

One other thing u asked if 8gb was enough
On current PC i have 12gb but i'm not sure i am using it all.

I have a monitor running 2560x1440 but thats running from the gpu right, so not sure if i'd need 16gb?
