I've been using a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia keyboard and Wireless Optical Mouse 2 for years now, and I'm looking for something that's a little less staid in appearance. Something really thin, and probably backlit. I like clicky keys, but wouldn't mind laptop-style. The wrist rest absolutely has to be detachable (because I hate them).

I'm not a gamer, but the Razer Lycosa really appeals to me. Is it good for typing? And how long is the cord? (I haven't found this anywhere online). Thoughts are welcome on that.

And what to do about a mouse? I'm all at sea on that front, but it has to be a mouse (not a trackball etc), has to be wireless, and I'd rather it didn't have 47,521 buttons all over it. Just left, right and a (quiet) scroll wheel will suffice.

I own or have used pretty much all of the logitech laser mice and I have found that the mx1100 is the best by a mile. Its a good price, wireless, 1 set of batteries lasts for half a year, its very comfortable for general use and gaming, its scroll wheel is a amazing, its very responsive and it looks nice. Its so good, 4 people I know went out and go them after using mine.

So all in all, a pretty good mouse :D
