ok...

i've got here a brand spanking new diNovo Laser desktop combo, completely unopened and i'm having second thoughts...

i would like to swap it for something which is still the bees knees but more functionality over style (obviosly the diNovo is far to the style side of the scale - but in all honestly, it isn't that good for gaming)

i had the previous version of this and it looks nice and everything but i think its time to move away...

i was thinking for similar money of going for a razor tarantula and copperhead but that seems like overkill (£££-wise) to me but i dont know... if its worth it, genuinly worth it then i'll seriously consider it...

otherwise please recommend away, i want something that looks great but is also great for gaming :)

i am going to add a point to this post...

i currently (havn't opened the laser packaging yet) use the old version like i said... and i have a few gripes... if these have been fixed i might stick with the laser...

• there is a bit of keyboard lag, which can be fatal in FPS games...
• the keyboard does not allow ALT-XXX commands, i.e. to put this dot like at the start of my bulletpoints i typed ALT-0149 - this doesnt work on my old dinovos

have these points been sorted?

i really like the look of the razer stuff... but i'm put off by the fact you cant use the tarantula for bios stuff as it gets recognized primarily as a usb hub and also i know its a contradiction to the gaming idea but i really prefer the aesthetic look of wireless desktops...

i'm 50/50 tbh peeps... help me out :)

sell it,

get the di novo edge :) lol love mine and no lag, pair it up with a g7 and you have a far better combo than the original di novo setup.

Like you i went through the di novo v1 and v2, i also had the other bluetooth setuo mx5000 was it i think lol and that lagged.

The Edge and the g7 are ace, no lag what so ever. Havent looked back,

that sounds like good advice but i think i was fairly insane spending 100+ on the whole desktop setup i can't justify that kind of money on the keyboard alone, never mind the 50 odd quid mouse...

i have to draw the line...

the razer stuff would be my top end to spend... but maybe wait for this microsoft reclusa keyboard (anyone know when its out?) and get it with the habu mouse?

EDIT: then again, although i really like the microsoft combo, it has usb ports just like the tarantula so will probably have the same stupid STUPID problem that the keyboard can't be used pre-windows... hopefully someone can correct me on this one?

had a read of of some reviews, and i think the it all comes down to the reclusa for me, love the setup, love the backlit keys, all looks good... but my big worry is if you have a dual boot system, would you have to plug a cheapo keyboard in every time you switch on to select operating system?

if this is the case i think they dropped a sloblock bigtime...
