Keyboard and Mouse Randomly Stops Responding

I installed new RAM and a NVMe drive last week (haven't done anything with the NVMe drive yet) and now my wireless keyboard and mouse randomly stops responding. Happened once while I was gaming but most commonly when I'm watching youtube vids and stuff. A hard reset and it's back to working again.

I had a look through my BIOS as that reset during the install but didn't see anything that might be related. I've disabled the USB Selective Suspend setting in power options but it's still happening.

I'm running Windows 10 and have a Ryzen 5 on a MSI B450 A-Pro Max motherboard. Was working fine before that but can't see what's changed. Any ideas what might be going wrong?

Possibly USB 3 interference, stick usb dongle further from the sockets to fix this... it can even be an issue if just too close to the socket.

Battery?

Does your mb have dedicated mouse/keyboard sockets?

You might have missed some power saving settings in device manager on usb hid/keyboard/mouse devices... windows keeps resetting them with some updates as well just to be annoying, I've had to go back and disable things I've already done far too many times.

my USB dongle is connected to the PC case USB port, never had problems before. Batteries are fully charged.

Any setting in the BIOS I should be looking for?
