Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

Either way, I have a G400 and Streelseries Qck- they're both great.

Not sure about mechanical keyboards.

You could get a Logitech G500. After a bit of researching and looking at reviews I took the plunge and ordered one myself just yesterday. I should get it on Monday, maybe Tuesday. If you haven't ordered one by then I could offer some feedback.

NOTE: This mouse is best suited for palm grip. If you have a claw grip you would probably be better off with another mouse.

YOUR BASKET
1 x Logitech G500 5700DPI Gaming Mouse (910-001262) £39.98
Total : £39.98 (includes shipping : FREE).

EDIT: As for mouse mats, I'm using a Boogie Bug Aim B.PAD XL and can say it is an awesome mouse mat. It is a "desk mat" and I would never go back to using a small square mouse mat ever again now. It works perfect and I love it. OcUK don't stock them now for some reason so you could go with the OcUK branded alternative

YOUR BASKET
1 x OcUK Mega Mat XXL Elite Tactical Gaming Surface £17.99
Total : £17.99 (includes shipping : FREE).

Thanks, may go for a bigger mat.
Not sure what DPI I want from a mouse and laser or optical. Still using a standard cheap optical mouse that I found in a cupboard xD.
Whats the advantages of higher DPI and laser over optical?

A lot of "PRO" gamers actually prefer optical, the g400 and deathadders are optical. Ignore DPI as anything over 2-3 thousand is just silly and far too quick to be accurate with.

No, optical is more accurate and doesn't have issues inherent in laser like acceleration. Laser is preferred by people who don't know any better because of the big shiney dpi numbers that do nothing but make your aim worse (higher sens = worse aim)
