Hi,

So been using a macbook Air M1 docked on TV and using my K63 and mouse and keyboard and just connecting it via usb c dock. Want to get a set specific for the MacBook wireless. Been looking at the Magic keyboard and trackpad 2 and seen a holder that has both connected together making it great for use on couch. Any alternatives to this I should be looking at or is this the best option. I used to have a keyboard and trackpad all in one back in the day so not sure if anything mac specific is available.

Check out the Keychron Q2 (or any of the Q series really)

Fully Mac compatible and comes with switches for both windows and Mac.

Very good typing experience and fully wireless.

The K series from Keychron isn’t as good but is cheaper and still fully Mac compatible.

I was going to buy the Q2 in a couple months time when finances are better but I managed to get a Nuphy Halo 65 for cheap secondhand. The Nuphy Halo 65 is also fully Mac compatible but is ANSI only.

I love my Nuphy Halo 65! The only thing I miss it from the Q1 (my other keyboard) is the volume knob. The Halo65 or their 75 is very good value, highly recommended.

Which switches did you get with your Halo65? I got the Baby Kangaroo.

I might have found a second hand Q2 for sale for cheap. No response from the seller as yet.

I actually tried the OEM Mac keyboard in store the other day. It wasn’t good. Way too mushy

Mine came with browns as it was the only one available when i Pre-ordered, but I always planned to replace them anyway. I tried out some silent Bubagum which felt weird so settled on Gateron Milky Yellow Pros.

Interesting. How are the Yellow Pros?

Did you also swap out your spacebar switch for one that is less noisy?

The spacebar is allowed to bottom out with the baby kangaroo switches. Great if I’m not working next to anyone.

I really like the Yellow Pros, it has the right kind of noise. I do have the Ghost Bar too but I find the stock space bar (with foam) sounds better, the ghost bar is too quiet. I guess it would work best if I put in the Silent Switches and make that as like a unit but the problem for me with the silent switches is that since I can't hear it, I ended up pressing a little too hard on them and gets tired from typing more, even though the weight on them isn't that heavy.

Plus, the Milky Yellow Pros is really cheap. (I also have some Oil Kings that I bought for the Q1, used it for a while but now replaced also with Milky Yellow). I bought about 15 Linear switches (1 tactile, the Panda something, Top Left or Top Right?) samples last year to test, found the Milky Yellow to be my top 3, and for the price, best of the lot.
