Keyboard announced for PS3

Ok, its not an official perpheral, but a keyboard on a console none the less.

Keyboard and mouse on the ps3 is will push me to get a ps3 over a 360.

im waiting until there is an official confirmation and perhaps some games which support k+M.

i want to see it working before i purchase a ps3.

Would be good for the 360 as well, I hate typing out messages using the controller, not to bothered about the gaming though, I'm used to that now.

i seen this keyboard in Custom PC and thought it would be ideal for the PS3

Can be easily stashed beside the couch with your remotes etc, yet looks big enough so you could type reasonably with it too.

unreal tournament 3 will support keyboard and mouse controls it was announced awhile back

im NOT buying because it says it on that website. i want to see it in the flesh. or aatleast a review by gamespot or someething

thought you could use any USB keyboard or bluetooth keyboard on the PS3 anyhow ? same goes for the mouse

my saitek eclipse and razer diamondback work fine on my PS3 - they just don't control any games. keyboard works for messages in RFoM but insomniac aren't supporting K&M in games as it would be unfair.

you can use any old usb keyboard on the 360. that's what i do. makes messaging easy!

Personally, with the Xbox360 and PS3 so close in computing power (*looks around suspiciously, waiting for a fanboy to attack*), I'll only bother getting a PS3 if it's 110% confirmed that they'll support FPS's via KB/M.

Its been reported on 1up, gamespot, ign etc , and not relating to that article. In a couple previews it has been mentioned by the reporter and by Epic themselves. Thats enough evidence for me, but things can still change between demos and the final release. Sorry I cant link but if you read some of the previews about UT3 on PS3 im sure you will find the info.

Yeah i use the Keyboard from my PS2 linux kit for both machines.
It is more needed on the PS3 though as less people use voice, not all games have the kinks out of the voice, and also a lot of lobbies support text based chat. Wish they would add texted based chat on 360 lobbies

keyboard and mouse would be most welcome on unreal and hopefully should open the floodgates for other developers to utilize it in fps games on consoles
( i really want it because i'm crap using a joypad)

I think lack of keyboard and mouse support on the 360 is going to do it some serious damage... especially if they want 360 and PC gamers to integrate...

Just needs mouse support and I am sure if they wanted it then they could add it,
