Keyboard beeping when gaming arghhhhhhh

Well just plugged another keyboard ive got in and everytime i try to game on it it beeps once if more than 3 keys are pressed .This is very annoying its a microsoft natural do any of you know how to stop the beeps.
 
The only 3 key combo that will defo work is CTRL-ALT-DEL, the rest is up to the manufacturers (and it's a right pain in the ass if you use the arrow keys and want to strafe jump on a new keyboard... BEEP BEEP BEEPITY ********...)

Might be worth checking the BIOS for your board, think i've seen keyboard non-bleep settings in there before (fair chance i'm wrong though)

I bet your on PS2 ?

change to a USB keyboard as PS2 keyboards are limited in that way

cant you change something in the control panel under keyboard settings to stop this or am i getting confused with another setting

Funny you should say that, as I used to have a USB keyboard that beeped if I pressed too many keys. Whilst my PS2 replacement hasn't caused that beep once.

I think it has more to do with the membrane configuration and the buffer in the keyboard than the actual port.

I have just tested my keyboard out of curiosity to see how many keys I could press before it beeps.

I can press 8 characters simultaneously on the middle row of letters. However I can only press 5 at any one time on the top row and bottom row of letters. Although I have noticed that if I include the "B" character in a certain configuration on the bottom row - it beeps. But only if I press down more than 4 keys.

I wonder why the B key is so special.. Hmm..
 
i snapped my old keyboard in two when i died in TFC when it did that! :mad:

coolermaster keyboard, not had a problem :)
 
Yeah get a new keyboard tbh, worth it for the peace of mind.
I 've just mashed my hand across the whole of my keyboard several times, and not a sound ...;)

(I have a Microsoft Wireless Multimedia keyboard btw)
 
antec 900 doesnt have a pc speaker so ive not got a clue if mine does or not. no sound from normal speakers with my hands over the vast majority of keys

Logitech easy internet keyboard
 
Advent keyboard bleeps when i press 3 or more keys at the same time

Its going out the freeking window shortly
 
Logitech DI Novo Edge, any more than 3 keys and it wont do anything.

So i can Run Forward at an angle in bf2 (Shift W,A) but i cant jump at the same time :(

Love the keyboard though so not too bothered
