Hi Guys,

My usb keyboard randomly stopped working - every time I unplug it and plug it back in windows says the driver could not be installed and it shows up in device manager with a ! mark. The properties in device manager say 'Code 10 - This device cannot be started'.

The only way to get it working is to uninstall the usb hub in device manager and restart the pc. At the windows logon screen the keyboard is reinstalled and it works - UNTIL the pc is switched off and then the problem occurs again.

I have tried reinstalling drivers and doing a system restore to befroe the problem occured - but no joy. The keyboard works in different pc's and in bios so its unlikely to be a hardware issue.

Any Ideas?

Has anyone experienced this before? Help would be really appreciated - forcing drivers to be reinstalled every time my pc turns on cant be doing it any good :S

Thanks in advance.

The other problem is using the usb hub.

If possible plug the keyboard directly into a usb connection on the I/O plate :)

Win 7 will detect the keyboard attached and load the generic Microsoft drivers initially. Then go to device manager and load the Saitek drivers from your installation disc or dl them from the net. :)
