What do people use when they don't get a manufacturer provided dust cover for their keyboards?
I've been using a Filco Majestouch-2 for over a decade now, and have always used the provided dust cover to protect the keyboard when not in use from dust (obviously) and any other spills or debris. As a result this thing is still in near perfect condition bar the wear on the keycaps.
Now I'm going to try a change and have a lower profile G915 coming at the weekend, however I cannot see if it comes with a cover and I'm a bit concerned on how I'm going to protect it. Mainly going to sit on my desk so no need for a carry case, but more a cover.
I guess my question is, do you guys do the following:
1. Use a purpose made dust cover.
2. Leave it naked, open to anything that may come it's way, with a handy bottle of compressed air for occasional cleaning
3. Throw some random piece of material over it, like an rag or special edition anime waifu towel?
4. Place pancake on it with a mug of tea precariously close in a temptation for any negative force to destroy your mechanical switches.
