What do people use when they don't get a manufacturer provided dust cover for their keyboards?

I've been using a Filco Majestouch-2 for over a decade now, and have always used the provided dust cover to protect the keyboard when not in use from dust (obviously) and any other spills or debris. As a result this thing is still in near perfect condition bar the wear on the keycaps.

Now I'm going to try a change and have a lower profile G915 coming at the weekend, however I cannot see if it comes with a cover and I'm a bit concerned on how I'm going to protect it. Mainly going to sit on my desk so no need for a carry case, but more a cover.

I guess my question is, do you guys do the following:

1. Use a purpose made dust cover.
2. Leave it naked, open to anything that may come it's way, with a handy bottle of compressed air for occasional cleaning
3. Throw some random piece of material over it, like an rag or special edition anime waifu towel?
4. Place pancake on it with a mug of tea precariously close in a temptation for any negative force to destroy your mechanical switches.

Keyboards haven't come with a 'dust' cover in must be 15 years or more, unless you buy a specific keyboard that has been designed for such environment i.e we have a customer who is a scrapyard and they have covers on their stuff.

For home usage I've never used one and never felt the need to have one.

I should clarify, I'm not talking covered while in use, just for when not using. Like below with my current Filco keyboards: JA7z3dR.jpg

A rag? A rag!?! Over my keyboard?!

I spied someone's Ducky One at work and theirs came with a cover as well.

Logitech are just cheap bar stewards it seems. Found one on the far east express place but for the US layout only. Guess I best get shopping for rags eh...

My cheap keyboard came with a plastic transparent cover as seen above, which is perfect!

Whereas my Logitech 0915 came with nowt - as @Raymond Lin I chuck a microfibre over.

I hate grubby keyboards, I think its due to hotdesking over the years. :p
