Hi,

I was hoping someone would be able to point me in the right direction for picking up a decent keyboard for an adult beginner.

The intention would be to self-teach and have a few lessons and not take the whole thing too seriously.

Any advice or suggestions welcome, budget would be of the order of £150.

Thanks

Get a second hand or b grade electric piano on eBay. £150 should be enough to get, say, a Yamaha np30. A proper electric piano will produce much better sound than a keyboard. The np30 has semi weighted keys so will feel more like a real piano than a keyboard. The only real downside is that it only has 76 keys, rather than 88, but as a beginner that's really not likely to bother you.
