Having just split half a pint of pepsi over my wireless keyboard I’m in the market for a new one! It must be wireless as my PC is in the living room, I’m also looking for one with a track ball or similar as a mouse and mouse mat is not very practical on the settee

I did have a Trust Keyboard the mouse buttons and track ball worked very well, I might just get the same but am open to anyone’s suggestions.

Cheers

I guess it depends on how you use it. I really like the ms remote/keyboard combo but the nipple mouse can be difficult to use. Doesn't really matter though as I use the remote 99% of the time.
Previously I had a fairly expensive wifi keyboard with build in trackball, although very nice to use the batteries only lasted a week & usually when the htpc resumed from standby often the keyboard was not detected.

you could try one of these:

Keysonic KB-ACK-540RF v2 Notebook Cordless Keyboard, Touch Pad Mouse Included. about £30.

or:

Gyration GC315 GO 2.4 Optical Air Suite Cordless Keyboard, USB 1.1/2.0, Gyroscopic Mouse. about £89

the gyroscopic mouse takes some getting used to but works well with media centre.

or another vote for the logitech dinovo, looks good.

i have the keysonic one. it does my head in. the numlock function is enabled by default and entering the initial password is a pain and the keys can be unresponsive.

Yep I went for the above and have the same problem, plus the touchpad activates its self, I can type and then the typing will appear wherever the curser is...a right pain, also the range is about 2 feet, further than that and its hit and miss...I only sit 6 feet from the PC but that’s very hit and miss, I have the USB extension cable in the middle of the living room floor if I type, kind of defeats the purpose. I would not recommend it
