This is a strange one. When Windows 10 free upgrade was first announced, I did it, didn't like it and went back to W7 for a few months.

Anyway last week I did the upgrade again and now I have a really weird keyboard issue.

I switch the PC on, when I get to my login screen, the keyboard doesn't work. If I hit reset and it comes to the login screen again it does work.

Any ideas? It's a Mad Catz V7 keyboard. I have the latest W10 beta drivers from their site but doesn't make any difference.

What type of USB port is it plugged into?
There is a chance that if it is a USB3 port, the drivers are not loading quickly enough on a cold boot to be ready when it reaches the login screen.
On warm reboot they are.
Try plugging into a USB 2 port if available and see if it makes a difference (I doubt it but worth a try).

Also, have you changed/reset anything in the BIOS recently? Whether one of the legacy USB settings has changed to cause this, I don't know.

Have you tried fully removing all signs of the Mad Catz software, and then doing a reinstall after reboot?
