Heres my problem, would really appreciate some help.

I am trying to get my Logitech Pro Desktop 2800 wireless keyboard/mouse setup to work.

It is a plug and play job so there is no drivers for the keyboard. And I know that it works because it worked straight away on my laptop.

I also know that the USB port on my computer works, because its the same one my wired mouse has been using.

The only clue is that when I plug it in I get a Found New Hardware Wizard window, and seems to want software. What software I dont know, because the keyboard doesnt need drivers.

Help?!?!

FWIW my only thought is that my windows usb drivers could do with updating, or something. I dont really know much about pcs.

Is there no option to automatically search the net for the latest drivers and let it do it all for you? If not what exact model number is your setup and il have a look on google for you.

I told it to automatically search, and it then says

Insert Disk;

Insert Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 CD which I dont have!

I am not sure what you mean by the model of my setup? If you could clarify I will get it straight here.

thanks
