Hey everyone :)
I've recently been coming across a problem within a few games i've been playing, specifically WoW and Overwatch.
I'll be pressing a key on my keyboard and it won't respond right away but then will around 5 seconds later it will, it's getting really frustrating.
Bought a new keyboard cause i thought it might solve the issue as it was happening before on the previous keyboard.
I'm not even sure if it's to do with the keyboard or something in my system.
Any information or suggestions would be much appreciated :)
Thanks.

Some of these tips will be obvious (sorry).

Try a different usb socket.
Possible unstable overclock? Try default speeds.
Recent display drivers update? Maybe roll back to previous good drivers
Try having a frame rate overlay on. See if there is a frame rate drop when there is a delay.

Do you use usb audio?

I'll give these a go thanks.
Not got any overclock set up, and I've recently updated all my drivers as the issue was still happening with the old drivers too.
Could windows 11 be causing the issue? is there any way to check? :)

Wired/Wireless keyboard

If it's wireless and I've seen these issues directly on my current rig
battery running low
interference with the wireless dongle - case and/or usb 3 socket being near/used, both can be fixed by using an extension to move it further away.

Both wired/wireless (seen these cause issues too)
Power save options on usb sockets and keyboard/mouse/HID input devices - in device manager right click them all and turn off power saving options.
Double check no power savings options in power & sleep or power options (control panel)

Does the keyboard have an 'add on software' for rgb/controls etc... they can sometimes cause a lag with your keys registering too.

As for an alternative to installing windows 10 to check, you could try running a linux live distro...

Sorry, just home from work.
Yeah, it's a wireless keyboard, just bought it last week.
It's a steelseries keyboard, so it's got a software to control lighting yeah.
I've noticed it caused a little bit of lag before but nothing like I was experiencing there.
i'm gonna try a few of these suggestions :)
