Keyboard Key Remap App

Just wondering if there are any apps out there that will allow the following:

Remap specific keys
Switch-able profiles - hopefully triggered by game launch
Works with every game
Macros
Can be tied to a specific bit of hardware

Maybe even just some of the above even. I use x-mouse to give that flexibility to my mouse and it works with every game I've ever thrown at it. Something similar for a keyboard would be great. Maybe a more user friendly version of autokey that works with all games perhaps. That type of thing anyway.

I use a custom gaming board, but it lacks the functionality of the numerous programmable keyboards out there, but I love it so dont want to change it.

Any ideas appreciated.

What board have you got?

Oh its just a gaming keypad with 42 keys, that has no drivers by design. So it behaves just like a basic keyboard that simply uses the OS's native drivers.

EDIT, here's a picture:

I'd use one of the programmable Logitech's or Razer's but trust me I've tried them all and none of them are as comfortable as this for me.

Thanks I might well give it a try. I did see a brief bit about it the other day when browsing. Many apps appear to suffer a problem of remapping keys that work fine on the desktop. But in many games the remaps simply fail to work. Even when changed at registry level. Im not a techie so dont know why. However I was hoping that someone already had a solution that they knew was tried and tested. But thanks none the less and i'll investigate yourvsuggestion further.
