keyboard layout query?

on your keyboard there is a button next to the 1 at the top. (is on my laptop am sure its the same as all)

however it has three symbols there, how do i get the straight line symbol?

thats wrong, why does it have space in it?

the reason i need this is to insert the modulus sign into derive but i cannot find it so i thought the straight line would represent it

Use the one next to the Z key. |

Interesting though, why the hell does it show it as one line on the key, but when pressed it's two small lines? Hmmm

Or just press Alt Gr to get to the ¦ symbol.

The | symbol is to the left of the Z key.
