Keyboard/Mouse Problem:

Hi,

I purchased a new usb keyboard reecently which is great. However, when I unplugg the old keyboard (ps2) both mouse and keyboard work fine untill I restart and the mouse does not work.

Any help on this matter appriciated.

Been trying a few different things but no luck

Really dont want to leave my old keyboard in.

I'm pretty sure I've seen an issue like that before.

Check in the bios, if Allocate IRQ to USB is enabled
also in bios, set USB keyboard and mouse support to BIOS, rather than OS.

I had a PC that wouldn't post when a certain ps/2 keyboard and mouse were plugged in, but it would if a different set were plugged in. If I plugged them in after windows was up, they would work fine, but the system would crash on shutdown!
