Keyboard & Mouse problem!

Hi

I've got a Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 2.1.

The keyboard and mouse work fine independantly. However, when used at the same time, the keyboard fails to respond.

For instance, I'm playing Half Life 2. I hold down 'W' to move forwards. This is fine. However, if I continue to hold down 'W' and then move the mouse to look around, the keyboard stops responding and I stop moving forwards.

Has anyone else heard of this problem, or is it faulty hardware do you think?

Driving me nuts, would appreciate some help!

Are you using a USB hub or are they plugged directly into the pc?

Also remove the mouse and keyboard from the device manager, then plug them back in, hopefully that will fix the problem.

Thanks for the reply. Just tried that, no luck. It is plugged directly into the PC.

have you searched for spywere, virus etc etc?

Pretty sure that is not the problem. The combo has always done this since I purchases it, and I have re-installed windows a few times since then as well!!
