Hey people, interesting problem I find myself with at the moment. Basically my computer has been fine for like the last 6 months (since I built it) however I've come across a problem. I took my computer home from Uni on Friday and when I got it home it would not recognise any type of keyboard (usb or ps2). After playing around and resetting the CMOS i've managed to get at least ps2 keyboards recognised however my g15 is still not being recognised. It doesn't power up even for a second and I am not sure what my next step is to be honest. I've been playing around in the bios enabling and disabling legacy support seeing if that will help but so far nothing. My mobo is a p5q-e if that helps.
edit: the usb ports seem to be working fine as my mouse works ok and having tried memory sticks etc they all seem to recognised and work fine. Its just keyboards that it doesn't seem to like (I've tried 2 usb keyboards and neither work)
edit x2: ok this is completely bizarre, on some random hunch i just simply unplugged the usb keyboard and plugged it back in and its just been recognised and started working just fine
I've literally tried this 10+ times over the weekend and got no where. For now at least it seems the problem is solved...well not solved but my g15 works
