Hi all,

I never really used to use my PC for gaming much but thought as I've spent so much on it I might as well.

So in the Steam sale I got some games like L.A. Noire and the GTA pack

When playing them I have realised that sometimes for example if I'm driving along the car will just stop accelerating, I will then release 'W' and press it again then it will carry on, or if I'm steering if I release the steering (a or d) it will carry on going forwards

Plugging in the USB cable doesn't seem to make any difference

I know my keyboard isn't a gaming keyboard (Logitech K800) but that's because I didn't buy it as a gaming keyboard, I wanted a nice daily use keyboard as I never really gamed

Anyone know what the issue might be? It works 100% fine when typing or just generally using the computer

Thanks, :)

just a guess but it sounds like a feature designed to save power with a wireless device.
I'm guessing its like many where you don't turn it on to start typing, therefore i would guess its to stop that book you keep leaving on the keyboard from constantly transmitting and flattening the battery.

If it were me i would email the manufacturers support team there may be a gaming mode tick box somewhere to solve all your woes.

Purely speculation though.

i would say its the keyboard mate, gaming keyboards i think do not shut off keys if they are held for too long where as normal ones do.

i used to have a cheap logitec keyboard (£15 for the keyboard and mouse, wireless too) and i had problems when shifting on minecraft, id hold shift down so i wouldnt fall off stuff and it would just stop after 10 or more sec. you need a gaming keyboard or just use a xbox controller

also gaming keyboards are perfectly usable for normal tasks, they just have a few features for games. my suggestion is this as its what i use and its great.

Sorry, forgot about this thread as I haven't been playing any games recently to notice it haha

Could well be what you're saying but then I think that option would be somewhere in the logitech setpoint software but I can't see it there

Ahhh this is probably it then.

Don't want to just leave my keyboard though, lol I spent a lot of money on it and really like it. I don't game that often to be honest.

What is the cheapest gaming keyboard anyone would recommend for occasional use?
