This may be in the wrong forum, but it's Windows related I guess.
A friend of mine cleaned his PC out the other day with some compressed air, ever since his keyboard doesn't seem to work properly (he's not sure whether it was due to him cleaning it, but it seems a co-incidence). It works fine in the BIOS, but as soon as Windows tries to start he gets the NTDLR missing error. By taking out a stick of memory he's able to get to the advanced boot menu; but his keyboard doesn't let him change any options, or if he ties to boot from his XP CD he can't 'press any key' to boot from it which means he's unable to get to the recovery console to fix the NTLDR error.
He's tried 3 keyboards - PS/2 and USB, disconnecting all unnecessary hardware and resetting the BIOS back to defaults (though not with the CMOS battery yet) and all have the same problem. Any ideas?
Thanks.
