hi all,

my keyboard seems is not working how i want it to. for example when i try to press shift + 3 to get the pound sign i get @ instead. and when i click i am trying to get the at sign as before i get " and a few other keys have a similar problem.

now i think this might me that i set the keyboard up to the wrong language (probably American default) when installing windows. But ive searched around in control panel under

printers and other hardware - keyboard but cant find where to change it to english. can anybody help me with this?

thanks

I think you have the keyboard set to U.S english as opposed to UK.

I think you can change it in regional/language settings in Control panel.

Not got XP on at the moment so can't walk you through it, but it says input language or something like that with Add/Remove just select U.K. English and set it as default.

You can then delete the U.S settings.

(you may need the XP disk but wouldn't have thought so)

p.s I think you meant "SHIFT" lol

edit. far too slow
