I have had this problem since I started using Windows 7 and up until now have just delt with it as a simple unplug/replug fixes it but after trying it plugged into the PS2 with an adapter it does the same thing.
First let me say that this is not a keyboard issue or a motherboard issue that I can tell. It has done this on 2 different motherboards, 2 different PSU's and about 5 different keyboards ranging from my current gigabyte. 3 different logitech and a plain jane HP keyboard.
This is also through many windows installs with a variety of settings. Sometimes everything will be great and it will go weeks with no issues but then suddenly I will go afk and come back and have to replug it in. I have been to so many different forums after googling with people having the same issue or a similar issue and its like they all just go unresolved.
Was hoping someone here has delt with it and knows something as this is just so random and annoying. Has to be a windows 7 issue as I never had this on XP and am hoping it is just some setting in windows or the bios. I have my power set up to performance with everything on and no sleep/hibernation.
