Keyboard recommendation please

I've carried out some research. but still haven't struck gold. I'm looking for a keyboard that costs no more than £50 (but the cheaper the better obviously).

I would like it to have: a comfortable palm rest, reasonable height elevation, quiet keys that do not need to be pressed down too much, reasonable key travel (as I'm not used to tightly packed keys), black and possibly with key lighting (although not compulsory).

I'm a bit of a gamer, but nothing hardcore, so I don't need anything too flashy or serious in terms of gizmos.

Many thanks for any recommendations.

I personally use a Microsoft SideWinder X6 - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-119-MS&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=1258

It's a fantastic keyboard, and very nice to look at. It's got macro keys, two-colour adjustable backlighting, media keys, WASD gaming key lighting, and also a very handy thing called "Cruise Control", which you can use to keep buttons pressed down and free up your hands, for whatever reason that may be, hey hey ;D

Not really a recommendation, just some thoughts. Ive also been looking around for a new keyboard and wanting the same things your after (minus the key lighting, i got lights in my rooms :)).
Have the same budget too, but after looking long and hard through the Razers, Saitek, Logitech etc, i can't seem to justify spending that much money when the differences between a £20 keyboard and a £50-60 one seem so slim.

Im quite tempted to go for OCZ's Alchemy Series Elixir Keyboard (much clearer higher res pic here)

Hope this has been of some help, if not, ignore my waffling on :)

Thanks very much for the suggestons, and I will look at them in detail. I'm also having trouble justifying the difference in prices between some keyboards.

I was thinking of buyng the Logitech Desktop Wave keyboard: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=KB-134-LG&groupid=702&catid=23&subcat=

This was until someone stated that it only works in Windows and not in the bios screen. Can this really be true? It did make me a litte paranoid.

I was also looking at the Logitech Illuminated Keyboard.

Just had a quick look. Unfortunately the Saitek Eclipse III doesn't seem to have much of a plam rest, the Microsoft SideWinder X6 no real tilt and the OCZ some iffy reviews. Maybe I'm being too picky :(

Your right, though I do tend end up researching every item I buy now. What's next, researching hoovers.

Anyways, any other sugestions for a keyboard that matches my criteria would be greatly appreciated.
