Keyboard Recommendation

Hi all,

I've recently been scouring the market for a new keyboard. I honestly have no idea about mechanical ones, however, and would like some advice.

I'm looking for a new keyboard, preferably in the £70 price range. I don't want clicky keys, in fact I'd like them as quiet as possible - from rjk's guide I take this to mean I want to avoid blue switches. I also take that red switches are "lighter" than black switches, but I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Some advice there would be handy.

I would greatly appreciate any advice you guys could shed on the matter. I'd prefer a keyboard to have white lighting where possible as I've got a new build on the horizon!

EDIT: Is the Ducky Shine range worth it? Aesthetically at least, it's looking the nicest for me.

Thanks!

im not sure about the ducky ones ive always gone corsair and razer for gaming keyboards my current is the corsair k70 mechanical keyboard but i love the clicky sound haha but that did cost £110 i would say look at the cheaper razer keyboards i had one which was silent but very nice to touch, ill have a look see if i can find it when i get home.

Booternet: Thanks, although I'm really not a fan of Razer stuff. They just feels tacky compared to similar price-point peripherals.

Semaphia: Thanks for the recommendation.

I'm not avert to spending more, it's just really got to be worth the extra £30-40. I'm feeling like, in a lot of cases, all I'm getting is LED lighting, which isn't necessary for me.

At the moment, I'm looking at the Corsair K65, the Ducky Zero Mech, and the QPAD MK50. Any advances on this in terms of quality would be amazing.

Thanks.

If you want white LED's then I' recommend this keyboard (the picture is wrong as it shows red LED's) and as most noise from a mechanical keyboard is made when the keys bottom out, to help reduce this you could get some of these.

That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for layout-wise. Any way I can find out when they're back in stock on OcUK? I'd rather not have to resort to a competitor :(
