I have a new Dell work laptop and as my company HQ is in the US it came with a US keyboard. I want to change the $ sign for £ but cannot work out how to.
I have changed all the locality settings to English UK, checked the keyboard is English UK and rebooted a few times. Its running a XP image the IT guy put on it, even though it came with 7 Ultimate preloaded:(

Is there a hack to change the keyboard functions?

£ is shift>3, UK keyboards come with £ and $.

Go need to change the keyboard setting not just the language/location settings.

Edit:
Hmm yea could have resized i suppose...
(that's a little better)

No worries, these things often are when you know what you're looking for, had a US replacement keyboard come for my laptop earlier this year and took some fiddling with the damn @ and " keys.
