Hey guys. I'm looking at buying the Asus MG279Q for some freesync gaming action, however one issue I have is that I usually play in borderless windowed mode so I can tab out to chat with people on Skype and so on, which would render the freesync pointless. I have an old laptop knocking around, would it be possible to plug this into my second monitor, whack a kvm switch in the middle and run my most and keyboard through that so I can keep chatting and taking advantage of freesync?
And no, there isn't enough room on my desk to just have the laptop open on there to type on.
Is a kvm switch the thing I would be after, or are there other options? Also, do OCUK stock them? I tried searching but couldn't see anything.
Cheers

Sounds like it's a vga splitter (or similar) you need. A kvm wouldn't display to your second monitor from my experience of using one. You usually press a key on the keyboard to switch between your main display and the kvm display.

Well, I was thinking of having the laptop plugged into the second monitor and switching the input to the laptop while gaming, then switching it back to pc when done. And for typing just flipping the kvm switch depending on which monitor I want to interact with.

This does all seem like a load of hassle when it would be cheaper to buy a non freesync monitor though.
