Keyboard vibration problem

I'm sorry if this doesn't fit in here, but Case Central is my favourite forum and I couldn't find the Keyboard forum!

I've just junked a Saitek Eclipse keyboard and got a Dell 0DJ422 Multimedia keyboard cheap from the well-known auction site.

It is a really nice keyboard, only problem is it vibrates like hell when any sort of low frequency sound comes out of my speakers, even at low volumes! My desk is very solid, speakers are 2.1 THX so quite bassy but it even vibrates when I turn the bass down to zero. never had this issue with previous Saitek and Microsoft keyboards.

I can stop the vibration if I put my hand on the space bar, or across some of the other keys. The keyboard has rubber feet but they are tiny compared to the massive ones on the Saitek Eclipse, this could be the cause?

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and how they sorted it, otherwise I'll be looking for another keyboard (I don't do gaming anymore, just want a stylish keyboard with some multimedia features).

Can't see it being anything other than the rubber feet, can you use the other feet of the other key board.

You changed anything else since the new key board?

Touchng the casing doesn't stop the vibration, it seems to be the keys that are rattling away!

I did try putting the keyboard on top of a magazine and a mouse mat, but I honestly couldn't tell any difference - this keyboard just seems prone to resonating at low bass frequencies, somehow.

I've bought an Apple ultra-thin aluminium keyboard today and it is great, really solid, no vibration, nice to use and looks lurvely!

Just googled it as never heard of the keyboard your on about, smart one.

Must not have a lot of space though if you gone from one of them over to an Apple Ultra Thin!
