Keyboard will wake PC but then doesn't work...

Using an Apple keyboard on Windows 7 machine (destined to fail, I know!!)

The keyboard will wake the machine from sleep but then won't work once system has woken up...keeps trying to install the driver but fails. Rebooting the system completely makes it work again.

Any ideas??!

Is it just the Apple keyboard that does this?

Yes I think so... also it's connected via a hub, which could be causing the issue......but don't see why it would, if it's obviously allowing the keyboard to initially wake it......
