(seems only appropriate place to post)

Ok another thing I need to replace is my keyboard.

I'm currently using the Razer Lycosa and to put it simply, it's ****.

Constantly has issues with keys sticking then it randomly starts using the media buttons so unplugging and plugging it back in 2-3 times a day is just annoying.

So I need a keyboard to;
- Have backlight (pref blue)
- Silent typing
- Standard design (i.e. no 16 extra programmable keys)
- Preferably not Razer as it's evident they look great but are just ****
- Have media buttons
- Wired

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The lycosa was purchased about november

Apparently thousands have the same issue so :p

Mechanical is typically louder keyboards aren't they? I need a relatively silent one as I'll be typing up to 5-6AM.

True, but just annoying as hell :p

any other suggestions as i forgot to mention but need wrist wrest (preferably like the lycosa and attached to it, instead of for example my previous saitek which wasn't)

Thanks again :P

Yeah I'm aware of the lock up with the keys :P

I liked my old Saitek as I'd be able to press 4 at the same time but now it's down to 3 on the lycosa, you could also have 2 keys constantly pressed (i.e. if I pressed qw at the same time on the saitek it would produce qwqwqwqwqwqwqwqwqwqwqw etc, where as now it just does qwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, not really anything wrong with it just preferred the way saitek done it)

But know most won't do the same as the saitek and afaik most keyboards will lock on over 4 (or at least not register the 4) buttons.

So mechanical keyboards register over 3 keys pressed at once?

Anyone used the Microsoft Sidewinder X6?

Looks like the kind of keyboard I want except the few macro butters on the left.

(nvm scrap this, apparently its 3 years old and nowhere stocks it :( !!)

I like the lycosa keyboard apart from its numerous issues with buttons etc, so if the X4 'feels' the same then it should be fine for me.
