Keys stick after long press

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help. I just got back into gaming but i am still using my wireless keyboard (microsoft ark) but i have a bit of a problem. when I press a key for an extended time it sticks until pressed again. For example when moving forward pressing W when I release it after a long press it will still be moving forward until I press it again.

I will be getting a new keyboard in the future but is there fix I can use in the meantime?

You could prevent by stop making it sticky in the first place!!

what is the key still depressed? or it it more like a software repeat?

no it is a software problem not mechanical

I never get any popup. Its just like I am still pressing the key until I press it again. usually the W key when moving forwards. I release the key and I am still moving forwards until I press W again. Maybe I should just buy a new keyboard and mouse....
