With most people wanting the 1 gig version of these cards, I thought I'd tell you of my experience with the 768 meg version.

Bearing in mind I don't have a quad core CPU - just a Phenom II 550BE O/C to 3.6 gig.

The first thing to note - it is a very very quiet card, even with it set to 45% it is still only just noticeable, it is quiet.

Overclocking wise it overclocks like a demon, I played BFBC2 for 2 hours last night and the maximim tep from the card was 59, no artifacts or anything like that.

If anyone wants me to benchmark anything I'll gladly do it. All these cards should be within a few percent clockability wise as they are just a reference card.

Anyway, running stable on the following. For those not wanting to spend more on the 1 gig version, this might fill the gap.

This will be a great card for those who game around 1440x900 with most eye candy enabled.

I game at 1920x1080 and it seems good to me. No slow down or whatever.

Ok I'll do the bench marks and put up the results.

Well, if the benchies uphold that then I am very impressed and in all honesty very surprised. :)

*Gets credit card out* :D

That's simpy amazing!

Having difficulty with this. I have downloaded all current patches for the game, if I run the ingame benchmark it runs it 3 times and then reports an error and I don't know where it saves the scores to?

I downloaded a 3rd party benchmark and set all the options but when i click start bench it just starts the game?

Any suggestions?

Yeah not bad but you need to run it with very high settings and click show last run at the bottom of the benchmark after the test has run.

Everyone says that, mine isn't. As I mentioned in an earlier thread, i had to take the side off my case to make sure it was still working as I couldn't hear it.

I'll run the benchmark again later on, off to Sainsburys now.

For £150 I am happy, that is in it's overclocked state though, as per the clocks on the first post. Since my 4890 died, it came along at the right time.
