Hey chaps.

Interested to overclock this KFA2 780Ti a bit further so looking into the risky business of bios flashing!

I bought a KFA2 GeForce GTX 780Ti 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card - Retail (78INH5DV9IXU) from ocuk a while back.

There are a lot of 780ti skynet bios's out there. has anyone confirmed to have one working on this card. Or any advice on how to choose a correct bios...

Kind Regards
Matt

It's hard to help as no one will advice you on custom bios especially on card with single bios. Even if I recommend one I'm no willing to take responsibility if you brick your card as it can happen even with working bios. You are going to be better off staying away from custom bios. Gtx 780ti is the fastest gpu you currently have on market and it over clocks like beast so there is no real need to oc it through custom bios. This is my advice maybe others will be able to help you.

I love skyn3t's bios for ensuring that core clocks are under my control and won't fluctuate cause of GPU boost and they also allow stupid overclocking.

For your card you are going to have issues keeping cool due to the reference style cooler not being the best but a change it bios will help you undervolt whilst keeping clocks where they are.

Backup your current Bios with GPU-Z first!

Use the 780 ti reference bios (from the list on OCN) and flash with Ez3Flash.

If anything goes wrong you can stick another card in or use integrated graphics to run your monitor and reflash the card with your old bios or try again with the skyn3t version. I bricked my 780 and simply put a 660 in for my monitor and chose the 780 to flash in Ez3flash. It was a fairly hassle free procedure and I won't go back to the reference bios (though I am on water so do not have to worry about temps)
