Kfa2 780Ti "own design"

TBH I tried to find out about it a little while ago with no luck. I'd personally expect it to sound and perform the same as the stock cooler.

Def worth a punt at the price!!

Galaxy are a great brand the number one in China so I cant see any issues at all with this card.

No issues with the brand 8 pack old bean, was just curious about the cooler. Is it just a black reference cooler? Or a 680/580 style cooler?

Basically Im currently running 2x 7970's at 1200p, but am looking for a single card solution. I can't see the newer maxwell cards outperforming this for the price (correct me if im wrong).

Needs to be Nvidia as I want to use shadowplay..

Nothing wrong with you switching to Nvidia if thats what you want to do, but did you know AMD now have their own "Shadow Play" ?

Yeah, its jolly good software that.
There are other reasons though, and suffer with shimmering graphics in il2 cliffs of dover and just generally arnt as great in flight simulations. Ive been with amd/ati for about 5 years just fancy a change and I don't wanna lose anything in the horsepower stakes, hence the questions about the ti

The 780TI is at least as fast as the 290X, its the fastest single GPU you can get.

Edit they are not quite as fast as 7970 CF.

If the cooler is up to scratch allowing overclocking, I see no reason to spend more.

Although I have seen 780 ti's at £420 with 3 fan design and a five year warranty.

Id like to go back to a blower design fan though, assuming this is up to scratch

Galaxy are KFA in Europe. Outside, in China and US, they have Galaxy.

Galaxy are Galaxy.

KFA were BFG, Galaxy bought them out after they went bankrupt.

The most expensive part of the Titan cooler is the shroud. I would imagine they just bought a load of PCBs, then added their own cheap plastic shroud. The fan looks identical.

So now Galaxy are selling KFA in Europe instead of Galaxy themselves.

Pretty much yes. BFG already had marketing staff, designers, box art designers and so on in place. So Galaxy just bought them out and they relaunched as KFA2.

Galaxy bought BFG and absorbed it, KFA cards are just Galaxy cards with different stickers not BFG cards.

Is it just a black reference cooler?

Nope according to the net it's reference board with different cooler internals with a different shroud:

The PCB on the new V2 shares the same build and layout as the standard GTX 780, however, the cooler, is a totally custom Galaxy design that achieves even lower overall temps while maintaining the same silent operation for which the original reference blower has been praised.
