Anyone got this combo?

Looking to downsize my lian li q08 to an sg05 lite, the figures say it'll fit by 2mm (card is 260mm and case is 262 apparently?)

Also, post your sg05 goodness, I want some inspiration!

My system will be:

Asus z97i
4770k (sits at about 4.2) (Corsair h50)
16gb hyper x beast 2400
500gb ssd
sff 450w gold silverstone psu

Was a toss up between sg05 or parvum itx, and ocuk had 1 new stock of the sg05 so I grabbed that and saved myself some money!

I can't wait to cram it all in and have a smaller rig.

Cooling wise I have the h50, so might upgrade that in the near future. If anything I'll grab the new Antec 600 aio, look like a decent cooler especially for the cost. Or try and wedge a 240 in there.

Looks good! My 970 should be mm perfect i hope, ha.

I'm still betting i could get a 240mm rad in there and put the pay at the front. Loads of space! If i did this is drill some more holes.. I love the lian listyle and their use of holes. I'll try and find a puc but i did a 240 hole mesh roof mid previously and it turned out well.

I'll look into sleeving my pay as well because its a right mess, but that's a project in itself.

Maybe try and find a colour scheme too!

Case arrived. :D It's so tiny.

I thought the paint finish would be smooth, but there's quite a fair few "blobs", almost like an orange peel effect. So might sort that out with a repaint, or use it with some effect.

I'll take a billion pictures tonight, do a quick swap over and start planning what I can do.

So far I'm thinking:

Repaint + inside - Would like to design something visually stunning, minimal that just makes me thing "wow" when I see it. Matte black and maybe some sort of speckled effect? With some clean detailing (white/grey), maybe.

Layout - psu at the front, 240mm rad in the roof.

Case Cuts - I'd love to extend the hole pattern design further, throughout the case.

PSU - my 450w silverstone sff is fine power wise. But it looks horrid. So some sleeving and a paint job. I'd also like to maybe swap the fan.

Question - I know there are loads of things for full size drive bays, but can you get anything for slim bays? Eventually I'll probably just make a new front or try and grab a smooth metal front as I'm not keen on the side location of the buttons / usb.

Ye of little faith!

Great tips though, I'll just paint the main visible parts and save some effort.

I only have one ssd drive, my 1tb storage is in an external and I hardly ever use it now, so that's not an issue.

I'll template out some rad templates, surely I can wedge the psu somewhere to make room! Have been googling for ages and not seen anyone put a 240 in, so it'll be fun at least.

I think I'll need all the help I can get!

Rad / AIO im looking at is the ANTEC 1200,

Radiator Dimensions:
271mm x 120mmx 25mm
Fan Size:
120mm x 120mm x 25mm

case is:
276 x 222 x 176

psu is:
125 x 100 x 63.5

mobo is 170x170 ?

My scribbled drawings work out I have the space. With as low as 1mm gap. Totally fine, no one panic.

Yeah I realised i spent a bit more previously and got the v2 modular :) Happy surprise!

So I think I can make it fit with a bit of dremeling. Trimming the top of the back panel (where the psy bolts on) and the front panel opposite. It'd be tight, but nothing touches (psu sitting a few mm above my hyper x beast ram... May swap that out for some low profile! ha)

ill make a better, sturdy rad template and measure up for you over the weekend. Lots of pics ill upload too.

Saying that, its damn tidy at the moment with my h50. And temps are idling at 35 and 40 running, erm, ahem, the sims 3. (for m'lady.. so I had to be quick to get it back and running)

With the roof was also i have to lose the front panel io, I'd make a new front panel then with a stealthy button somewhere. A touch button would be cool.

I think a custom route may be easier,, more control over rad size,, hm.. I've no idea where I'd put a pump though! Haha

I didn't realise the black was already painted inside.. Hooray! It needs some light though, thinking purple themed lighting.

Very happy today, this might sound a bit crappy but I finally have that "dream setup" I've been chasing for years.
A tiny, mostly wireless setup, the only wires are Display port, external hdd and power cables x2.
Also have my tv and soundbar setup just opposite (behind) so i can just bluetooth music/spotify.
Got my ps4 controller connected and it was much easier than when I tried with the ds3 :) Means I can connect the main tv up and play some decent games on the sofa now!

Side by side comparison and a very messy current build.

Mobo and card in! The 970 touches the front panel with the KFA2's metal design but nothing to worry about. It's snug!

Clearance of the psu and ram. Psu in a front mounted position

MY mock paper rad test, length ways from the very back, to the very front. That'll totally fit.. don't know what everyones worried about. :P Width ways its fine.

I am pretty tempted to cut up my lian li and use it as a donor for maybe a new front panel and fashion some mounts for inside the sg05. And steal those feet!
