KFA2 Nvidia GTX 580 problems + Manufacturer Lied about it?

Hi people I'm new to this forum here so hope this is in the right place I know there's a similar thread but i don't want to thread-jack, sadly my first post is a tale of woe.

I recently bought a KFA2 GTX 580 and after powering up the screen displays lots of blocks and lines see below. (this is during the POST as well as in the O/S so it’s not a driver issue)

I wondered if there was a problem with the lead so I switched from DVI to HDMI but still the same problem.

I contacted KFA2 and they agreed to RMA it but then I get a reply from them a week later saying they tested it and found no was fault.

They then returned it and arrived home yesterday. I plugged it in and straight away I see the same problem. Worrying that my monitor could be the problem I plug it into my TV and again same problem.

In desperation I called up my friend and he agrees to let me test it on his machine. I try it out with his machine and again same problem.

Now I’m at a loss of what to do. I’ve sent KFA2 a message last night detailing my problem but they haven’t got back to me yet.

I’m at loss of what to do. I’ve already RMA’d it once and shipping and insuring a card of that price isn’t cheap. I don’t want to do it again if they’re just going to do the same thing.

I feel they can’t have tested the card based on what I’ve on my experience with the card but I cant imagine they’d lie?

So question is what do I do now?

Are the PSU's you tried the card on up to the minimum power requirement (and of a decent brand) of 600W?

If both power supplies are sufficient in the machines you tested (wattage and amps) and the card artifacts during POST on a cold boot then the card is faulty.

Confirm what PSU's were used to test the card.

Hi people

My PSU is a 1000w coolermaster and was previously running a gtx 280

The other machine was 700w corsair PSU and we had the same problem

Motherboard is an ASUS Striker extreme II but I cant remember the what my friends was

is that the kfa2 anarchy card btw?
why cant you contact the retailer you bought it from?
have you tried on a fresh os re-format?

Thats right its the anarchy one.

I could have sent it back to the retailer but I got a damaged box deal on it, it was a good saving so i've tried the manufacture route first.

As i've said it's glitching before it even gets to the OS so a reformat wouldn't do anygood I dont think.

The screenshot below shows it glitching even in the cards own BIOS

Best to remove the competitor name mate. Not allowed to mention them on the forum.

Request an RMA again and attach the pic you posted here.

They will test again.

Sorry removed that now,

Yeah will do probably, they still haven't replied to me from wednesday I may need to ring them.

I'd not heard of KFA2 before but so far it's not been so good. Hopefully they'll sort this out for me but I find it hard to belive they really tested it.

Those PSU's are more than sufficient. Since you have tested it on two different PC's and the card is producing artifacts during POST then I don't care what KFA2 say- the card is faulty. Insist that they replace it!

Finally light at the end of the tunnel.

Got an email this afternoon from KFA2,

The card was tested faulty when returned which is strange as it was fully working before I returned it.

Anyways, the replacement card has been sent today and should be with tomorrow.

So I got there in the end! Thanks to all the helpful comments. If this one doesn't work though I may have to book myself into the closest asylum.

Good to hear. Did they also reimburse any test costs/postage you may have incurred?
