The Advertising Standards Authority says the complaints have focused on a number of aspects of the campaign. These include that the depiction of chickens is “offensive and distressing” for vegetarians, vegans and children and that is is “misleading” because it features a healthy, older looking chickens that complainants believe misrepresent the age, quality and living conditions of KFC chickens.

Hahaha people will literally get offended any anything these days.

Poor veggies.

My son loves these adverts as it looks like our pet chicken. I think it's good showing that your KFC comes from a chicken.

Yes, ridiculous, I can see coming further down the line all meet products in supermarkets will come in packaging that hides the meat etc, completely plain, to not offend people.
Bugger That! I like to see the bit of meat im buying!

Shame they don't think there are more important things in life they should be doing instead of complaining about a TV ad.

Anyway, gangsta chickooooon!!

When I first seen it I was expecting it to be a general advert for eggs.

Eggs sounds like 'X' which would have been an awesome advert.

You know it will happen, as soon as the media and others see an opportunity to go full retard on, meat is on the menu so to say :) oh and fish, no fish on display that can stare into your soul with those guilt trip eyes, won't anyone think of the baby fish.
:)

I find the ad a bit weird, but I couldn't bring myself to care enough to complain about it.

Then again, I'm sort of indirectly complaining about the people complaining here so I guess I'm almost as bad. Either way, it's amazing how people seem to want to be offended by anything these days. Just grow some balls you morons.

How do you spell the same word differently in one sentence :p

tbf, there's a legitimate reason for having it on display- people want to see the meat itself in order to judge the quality and wether or not it's fresh.

how is a video of healthy happy chickens distressing to vegans?

do they just hate the sight of animals?

I think it's just the fact that they're morons*

Surely they should be all for this - showing that meat is actually made from animals might convert some people to their cause?

*I mean the ones complaining, I'm sure there's a reasonable vegan somewhere

These ********** should get a life & possibly professional help. I'm a vegetarian, if people want to eat meat that is none of my business. Now if they want to get rid of offensive ads start with the Sky one. "Believe in better" wtf? Believe in better what? Finish the damn sentence you thickos.

Wow! I thought that chicken was a type of fruit. Imagine my distress when I saw this advert and found out that chicken is an animal!
