KFC - Downhill?

After much debating over the Christmas period finally caved and had one couple days ago. Was expecting disappointment, was actually okay. The Stranger Wings had a nice flavor and kick to them and size and quality of chicken was fairly good (apart from hotwings which were more bone than meat). No idea what was going on with the fries which were a bit limp and couldn't work out if they are supposed to be seasoned. Overall a solid 7/10 takeaway though it cost us 40 quid so wouldn't go back in a hurry

We’ve found that if you go in and order and sit in (They do delivery table service) that’s it’s usually not bad, fresher. Just a shame it costs and arm and a leg!

Popeyes has really spoiled KFC for me.

Popeyes is so light, crispy and fresh, compared to the greasy, soggy KFC....it's genuinely really good food. Chips are better than KFC. Plus their Louisiana dipping sauce has some proper kick (quite similar to tabasco habanero).

And they often have some decent discounts in the app. I've had several 25% off vouchers which has allowed me to give them a try and yep definitely better than KFC (although I do love a KFC hot wing). And I do like their biscuits.

I much prefer Popeyes too. I don't think their hotwings are quite as good as KFC's, but everything else is far superior. I'll gladly drive the extra distance to Popeyes rather than the nearer KFC.

Popeyes are great, all of their products are superior apart from the hot wings.

Popeyes gravy, holy hell thats incredible.

Popeyes and Slim Chickens are much better than KFC now, not tried WingStop yet but seeing how far KFC have fallen I would guess they’re better as well

A Popeye’s opened in the nearest big city to me and it didn’t last a year.

Prices and portion sizes seemed on par with KFC (who have two locations just on my side of the city and both are rammed at lunchtime), so I’m guessing that Popeye’s proved too spicy for the French palate.

We had a Wendy's open not that long ago in our local city, that is now closed and being turned into a Popeye's.

As I usually state, I believe the demise of of the Wendy's is due to the wrong people taking on the franchise.

Had a KFC today in a smaller branch and apart from them forgetting one item from everyone's orders, it was really decent.

Did one a few weeks back at one of their premier places, run by the right people and again it was really good.

too much woody chicken breast in the market these days, I'm almost totally avoiding chicken products .. people warned about it 9 years ago.. capitalism doesnt care, no doubt theres a generation who only know woody chicken and it's became normalised now.

Never been in a KFC that didnt stink, which makes sitting in impossible. Its the main reason I never go, unless back mega late from work and fancy some hot wings.
