KFC noob advice

Well regional pricing is understandable to a point given the differences in labour costs but charging more at service stations is nothing more than profiteering. They don't pay their staff any more than the high street ones and the mark up is purely down to having a captive market.

I'm not sure if that is the case.

I used to work in a Burger King at a service station on the M6.

In 1999 I was getting £4.80p/h on weekdays, and £5.25p/h at weekends.

Admittedly, I am not sure what the average earning was in a high street BK at that time, but my wages appeared to be set by the service station, and pretty much everyone else earned the same. Compared to everyone else I knew, I was on a fantastic wage, and the service station was a place everyone wanted to be working.

You will also note, my wages were far in excess of the adult NMW at that time (£3.60p/h).

"I'll have a double whopper with cheese meal, please!"

Happy days!! :p

KKK do fried chicken now - easy mistake to make.

Should have been "Krispy, Krunchy Chicken Tenders"

I'm not sure what's funnier, having to ask a forum for advice on ordering fast food, or the depths of the arguments that follow. FFS :D

For £1.29, I still think mini-fillets offer the best VFM out of any fast-food in the UK.

OP could have bought 15, 3 per person is good going (and what I usually have when KFC-binging).

3 mini fillets = 1 normal burger, what about fries and stuff?

And to be fair it's not even that cheap, I remember when they were 99p, most local chicken places still only cost that.

Are RDAs gospel? Do they solidly apply to everyone? They are extremely general and are based solely on calories, not actual mass.

You must eat very little if you can split a £6.50 meal from KFC in to two.

If you think eating 128g of saturated fat and 3200 calories in one meal is normal you're seriously deluded.

Check again, they are easily a burger and a half for the same price(ish).

Sod the chips, they are gross from KFC any way, the bread serves as the carb component. :p

I'm not really a fan of KFC but my friends seem to love it, so I end up going there a bit. I get the zinger meal which is edible but I'm never really sure what I'm ordering and usually and up paying £8 and for some reason have a hash brown on the burger.

^ That's the 'tower' bit.

Eg, Wicked Zinger burger = no hash brown. Wicked Zinger Tower burger = includes hash brown.

Ohh right, they could have told me what tower meant, as it's not exactly clear. Although to be fair they might have but I couldn't really understand what they were saying.
